The Ellen R. Gritz Postdoctoral Fellowship in Tobacco Control is designed to prepare Fellows for an independent academic research career, with a particular focus on addressing tobacco use among populations at disproportionate risk for high prevalence of smoking. This Fellowship provides formal didactic training opportunities at collaborating academic institutions, as well as experiential training with nationally recognized experts in the field.
Current trainees include an Ellen R. Gritz Postdoctoral Fellow in Tobacco Control and several pre-doctoral students in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The SI also serves as a research placement for NCI-sponsored postdoctoral fellows from the Division of Cancer Control and Prevention.
