Brand Manager - Youth Prevention

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Brand Manager will provide direct support and report to the truth® Senior Brand Manager and will be responsible for assisting in the strategic development and implementation of all brand projects ensuring a smooth workflow across all internal departments. Some business travel will be necessary. This position is the ideal opportunity for a marketing professional, to gain in-depth knowledge of a successful, highly awarded and evolving national youth brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage all aspects of truth® grassroots initiatives, including but not limited to:
- Identifying and evaluating potential of events and sponsorship properties
- Assisting in developing and estimating media and added value opportunities
- Organizing and coordinate promotion calendars
- Integrating grassroots activities across departmental functions and brand initiatives
- Organizing and coordinating the development of promotional items
- Determining the feasibility of future initiatives
- Managing grassroots budgets and conduct ongoing reporting analysis to seek efficiencies
- Managing venders and partners to ensure smooth delivery of events
• Manage the creation and development of brand initiatives, implement and monitor advertising production, media planning and placement.
- Managing advertising agencies on a day-to-day basis providing direction and feedback on strategy, positioning, messaging and creative.
• Assist the department in balancing the workload; be skilled at multi-tasking, adept at interacting with a variety of personalities, and have a high energy and relentless spirit to get the job done efficiently and expertly.
• Develop strong relationships with internal Legacy departments and marketing partners, such as advertising and media agencies
• Handle time-sensitive tasks in an effective manner.
• Display flexibility and capability of managing several projects at once
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of five years experience in advertising, promotions, event planning or similar grassroots marketing activities; excellent communication skills, analytic and interpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment; individual must be proactive, creative, a team player and relationship builder; support a team-oriented work environment; experience interacting with young people and individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds is preferred; experience in account/ creative management experience is a plus and experience with national promotions focused on youth is a plus.
